Rufaro Gwarada
Rufaro Gwarada is committed to a world animated by unhu (ubuntu) – the understanding that collective and individual well-being are one and the same. She has 15 years of experience working for gender justice, migrant rights, African-led solutions for Africans, and utilizing art and cultural expression as conduits for healing, liberation, and joy. She supports leaders through coaching and strategic thought partnership and facilitates meetings, retreats, event spaces, and project creation drawing on embodied practice, future-casting, and world-building. Rufaro has co-founded culture shift and philanthropic initiatives and worked at international and domestic organizations that advance human rights, self-determination of African people, and civic engagement. Rufaro is home in Zimbabwe, Oakland, and Sacramento, California.
